In 1974, an ex-Army officer in Fayetteville who loved books and reading realized he couldn’t afford to establish a library, so he did the second-best thing—he started a used bookstore! From modest beginnings that included Canada Dry Ginger Ale crates, buildings originally designed to function as chicken coops, and a building that the founder put together himself, Edward McKay Used Books & More has grown to four stores across North Carolina.
Used books were our beginning and are still a big part of our stores, but we also buy, sell, and trade a wide variety of other merchandise, including CDs, DVDs, vinyl records, electronics like iPods and eReaders, textbooks, audiobooks, video games, gifts, and more.
We get most of our inventory from you! And we love to hear from you. Please feel free to visit our contact forms or friend us on Facebook. Thanks for visiting our site!
